MOMMIE DEAREST: the drinking game

This drinking game is my friend Brian’s brainchild. We may or may not have played this game in a rented-out theatre for his birthday one year.

• Drink every time Joan drinks.
• Two drinks every time Joan is drunk (even if she denies it).
• Drink every time Joan says “Christina” lovingly.
• Drink every time Joan shouts “Tina!”
• Drink every time Joan shouts “Christopher!”
• Drink every time Joan shouts “Damn it!”
• Drink continuously every time Joan is cleaning or berating someone else for not cleaning enough, until she stops.
• Drink every time Joan rhapsodizes about her “fans.”
• Five drinks when you hear the following phrases:

 “CLEAN UP THIS MESS!”
 “BRING ME THE AXE!”
 “Christina, COME ON!”
 “THIS IS WONDERFUL!”

• Finish your drink when you hear:

 “NO WIRE HANGERS! EVER!”

• Drink every time Joan overreacts to any situation.

turning to ash.

THE TOWN: the drinking game

Drink whenever:

- You’re surprised someone as tricky as Ben Affleck’s character is willing to be so affable and forthcoming (/expositional) about his innermost problems to a girl he’s just met.

- Jon Hamm could be confused with one of his SNL characters and it’s hard to remember to take him seriously

- Rebecca Hall really ought to just move already

LAW AND ORDER SVU: the drinking game

This drinking game is the refined product of about 6 years of trial and error by my friends Brian and Zoe.

Please drink whenever:

- A case is ripped from the headlines

- Ice T says “That’s messed up” - finish your drink.

- Ice T makes a street smart comment (loosely defined)

- Someone pleads insanity

- Elliot references his troubled family life

- A judge says, “I’ll allow it”

- BD Wong spouts pop psychology

- Olivia brings up being a child of rape

Important:

- 20 minutes in, everyone must pick who did it, even if you don’t know yet what “it” is. Whoever guesses correctly may assign a drink.

- Any time the “dun-dun” noise sounds, the last person with their finger to their nose must drink.
